Got this in my email box today. I'm very interested and supportive of it. And I might even consider running as a TEA Party candidate. The word TEA party will actually now appear on the Florida ballot. Yahoo!

Dear Fellow Patriot:
As the tea party movement continues on the path of restoring the Republic, many have asked "what is the next step?" With so much enthusiasm and involvement with the many different offshoots of the movement, the time has come to encourage and permit tea party activists to become directly involved in the political arena.
As we watched with great interest, Tea Party/Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman nearly won a congressional seat in NY23, having first destroyed the official party boss candidate and forced her to withdraw.
We have the opportunity to, in some cases, run our own candidates as nominees of the officially registered TEA PARTY here in Florida.
The TEA PARTY is your party. Like you, I have watched the two parties become almost indistinguishable as financial special interests seek to control the leadership of both major parties.
With a twenty-year record of fighting the causes of no new taxes; limited government and First Amendment battles, I have officially registered the TEA PARTY here in Florida. With that registration, we have the ability to run candidates in the general election as TEA PARTY candidates; choose to stay out of a specific race or lend our support to one of the nominees of the other parties.

The TEA PARTY is legally authorized to collect and expend funds on our behalf and unlike many of the individual home-grown tea party efforts around the state, ALL of our donations and expenditures are public record, filed quarterly with the Secretary of State, Division of Elections and available online.
As Chairman, I will not accept any remuneration for my service as Chairman and all funds will be spent to support TEA PARTY activities and TEA PARTY candidates.
Over a dozen potential TEA PARTY candidates have inquired about the nomination in various races and I encourage you to join us as a member of our advisory committee that will help make those determinations.
I've attached the official TEA PARTY Declaration of Independence, please take a look and let me know your thoughts.
Together, we CAN restore the Republic and honor the Founding Fathers with the direct political action they demanded of the generations that have followed them.
